Double-digit number cakes (18, 21, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80) consist of two individually shaped sponge sections presented side by side on the same board, decorated as a unified design. For combinations not shown on our website (a three-digit number, a name in letters, or a corporate abbreviation), submit your brief via Design My Cake and we'll advise.

A single-digit number cake serves approximately 8 to 20 people. A double-digit number cake serves approximately 16 to 40, depending on the size ordered. The serve count is higher than a standard round of the same diameter because the shaped sponge covers more board area. Check the product page for serving guidance on each specific design.

Number cakes can be finished with fresh flowers, fruit, macarons, sprinkles, chocolate shards, or a clean minimal buttercream finish. How does a double-digit number cake work?
Two individually shaped sponge sections baked separately, then presented side by side on the same board and decorated together as a unified design. They can carry the same flavour or different ones; note your preference in the cart. The two sections are not joined, so cutting and serving is straightforward.
Can a number cake be made vegan or made without gluten?
Yes. Both work well with the shaped sponge format. Plant-based buttercream holds the shape and takes decoration identically to the standard recipe. Made-without-gluten flour blends rise evenly and hold the shaped edge. Select your requirements on the product page.
Can I choose my own toppings?
Yes. Leave your preferred topping in the cart notes. For a topping not shown on the product page, we'll confirm suitability before baking. Fully custom decoration (specific flowers, branded elements, an exact colour palette) goes through Design My Cake, which needs a week's notice.
