Why Customers Choose My Baker for Drip Cake Delivery

My Baker fulfils London orders from its flagship bakery in Hendon, North West London. Beyond London, and occasionally within it, we work with a carefully selected network of vetted, trusted local baking partners across the UK. Every drip cake is made fresh to order and never frozen. The ganache drip is applied after the cake has been chilled, which sets the drip before packaging. Getting a drip cake to your door without smearing the ganache is a logistics challenge that most home bakers underestimate; with more than 23,000 cakes delivered, we have it handled.

Drip Cakes: A Buying Guide

What Is a Drip Cake?

A drip cake is a buttercream-frosted sponge with a poured ganache or sauce applied to the top, controlled so it runs deliberately down the sides in even drips. The drip is the design; everything else (toppings, piping, colour) is built around it. It is one of the most consistently popular cake styles we produce.

Drip Flavours

Dark chocolate ganache is the most ordered. White chocolate ganache is popular over vanilla and lemon sponge, where the colour contrast works particularly well. Biscoff drip goes over Biscoff or vanilla sponge for a warm, biscuit-forward result. Salted caramel drip works across several sponge bases. Berry coulis (raspberry or strawberry) is available as a lighter, fruit-forward alternative. Most combinations can be mixed and matched; leave your preference in the cart.

Toppings

Drip cakes in this collection can be topped with macarons, Oreos, fresh berries, sprinkles, chocolate shards, or swirled buttercream piping. Toppings are listed on each product page. For a topping not shown, leave a note in the cart.

Sizing and Servings

A 6-inch round cake serves 8 to 16 people. An 8-inch serves 12 to 28, and a 10-inch serves 20 to 42. Drip cakes photograph larger than they are because of the visual drama of the ganache; always check the serving count on the product page rather than estimating from the image.

Dietary Options

Drip cakes can be made vegan (using ganache made without dairy and plant-based buttercream), made without gluten, made without dairy, made without eggs, made without nuts, or halal. Select your requirements on the product page from the choices available. Our bakers work in kitchens where allergens are present; for severe trace allergies, we are not able to cater safely and will decline the order.

Frequently Asked Questions About Drip Cake Delivery

Can I get a drip cake delivered the next day in London and other parts of the UK?

Yes. Next-day drip cake delivery is available across most London postcodes and many wider UK postcodes for orders placed before 3pm. Place your order and we will handle the rest. Give us a call on 020 3239 4399 if you need to confirm timing.

Will the drip smear during delivery?

The ganache is applied after the cake has been chilled, so it is fully set before it leaves the bakery. The cake travels in a box with internal supports. In very warm weather, ganache can soften; take the cake out of its transit packaging as soon as it arrives and keep it in a cool room. Do not leave it in a warm car.

Can I choose the drip flavour and the sponge flavour separately?

Yes on most designs. Dark chocolate drip on chocolate sponge, white chocolate on vanilla or lemon, Biscoff drip on Biscoff or vanilla are the most popular combinations. But most pairings work; leave your preference in the cart notes and we'll confirm before baking.

Can I get a vegan drip cake?

Yes. Vegan drip cakes use ganache made without dairy (dark chocolate works particularly well) and plant-based buttercream. The finish looks identical to the standard version. Select Vegan on the product page.

How should I store a drip cake after delivery?

Keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If you're not serving it for a few hours, a cool room works better than the fridge. If refrigerated, take it out 45 minutes before serving so the ganache softens and the sponge returns to room temperature.

Where do you deliver outside of London?

We cover many major towns and cities within the UK, including but not limited to Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow, Newcastle, Bristol, Liverpool and St Albans. Enter your postcode in our postcode checker to confirm delivery to your area.
